About Plungerhead 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon, Lodi
With its unique easy-off stopper, Plungerhead is a value Cab that really delivers. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, grapes were in late September from three vineyards in Lodi. Two of the vineyards give rich berry fruitand the third vineyard provided depth and structure. A touch of Clarksburg Cabernet Sauvignon brought a roundness that completed the blend (96% Lodi, 4% Clarksburg). The result is a great glass of Lodi Cabernet which shows the terroir and value of this classic growing region. Anthony Dias Blue in Tasting Panel Magazine scored this 90 points saying "Violets grow wild on the nose and palate-and are augmented by chocolate-coated blueberry. But go back a step; Plunge into the rich, soft, ripeness and take in the lingering fragrance. Ok-ready to go back to the taste profile. Raspberry and toasty cinnamon chocolate swath the subtle tannins. Amazing value and over-delivery of goods."
