Comments about Moshin 2005 Estate Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley:
Wondefrul pinot turned out by this relatively small sonoma valley producer. Tasted with friends at a get together and they all insisted I pick up more for them when visiting the winery... Also tried Moshin's Sonoma coast pinot which was lovely as well

Comments about Moshin 2005 Estate Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley:
WE AWAYS CHOOSE THE RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY PINOTS WHEN PRESENTED WITH A CHOICE WHEN DINING OUT. UNTL NOW, WE'VE ALWAYS RATED THEM THE BEST, WHCH IS WHY I DID NOT HESITATE TO ORDER 3 BOTTLES ON LINE. MY HUSBAND PREPARED A LOVELY DINNER AND SERVED THE WINE AND IT WAS TERRIBLE! HARSH, CUTTING TO THE BACK OF THE THROAT AND TASTING UNLIKE ANY PINOT I'VE EVER HAD. I WOULD BE VERY HESITANT TO EVER ACCEPT A RECOMMENDATION [...] WE ARE NOT EVEN GOING TO DRINK THE 2ND 2 BOTTLES OF THE 3. ONE WAS MORE THAN ENOUGH!

Comments about Moshin 2005 Estate Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley:
The '06 Moshin Russian River Pinot was a classic example of what Pinot Noir should be. It had good depth of flavor with an earthy aroma and a smooth finish. Much more full-bodied than the Molinari Vineyard Pinot from Moshin... worth the extra money!

I usually purchase when on sale, because its a little pricey to drink every day, but you could. Always a hit when entertaining!

The focus in my monthly wine club this month was Pinot Noir. At our tastings, we talk about our wines, their region the vinyard, the grape, bottling process, etc. We had 12 different bottles of Pinot Noir at our tasting. I featured Moshin 2005 Estate Pinot Noir. Moshin 2005 was one of best at our tasting and two people in my club are purshasing a case. It was a big hit!

Comments about Moshin 2005 Estate Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley:
I was never a "red drinker" before I had the experience of tasting Moshin's Pinot. I was at Moshin tasting room and after encouragement from the lovely staff, I gave in to a Pinot Noir and never looked back. Before living in the Bay, I was a novice wine drinker, scared of red and the heartburn it gave me, that was before I realized that red was my very, good friend. My friends at Moshin showed me that reds can be fun, alive, powerful, and majestic, no Nexium required! Moshin's Pinot is their crowning achievement, but this pinot is for the beginner, as well as the wine pro. Nothing is better than opening a bottle of this pinot with friends. It's an easy drink for those not "into" wine, and for those of us wine lovers who cherish a glass of Pinot Noir, nothing is better than this.

This wine has the barnyard earthy boquets that draws me to excellent Pinot Noir. I drink this wine on a weekend when I can enjoy two or three glasses casually and without rush.
