Comments about J. Mauceri 2006 Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast:

Nice Pinot Noir but not great. I like the balance and freshness. However, it lacked the fruit I look for. If you like Burgundian style Pinots, you'll probably like this. My palate tends toward California Pinot Noirs that offer more fruit and a longer, less minerally finish. It's not great but for [$], it's not a bad deal...however, I find it difficult to get too excited about this wine.

Comments about J. Mauceri 2006 Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast:

We are big fans of Willamette Valley Pinot Noirs and were a bit skeptical about this vintage from Sonoma. However, the winemaker makes the difference and Bruce Regalia has produced another gem. Had family here for Labor Day weekend and we went through a case in a blink. I was instructed by my wife and daughter to order more and I just did! For the price this wine is a real winner.

I'm having some with pasta tonight! I like this much better than the NZ Pinot Noir - smoother, tastier. I left a half glass out overnight and it was still great the next morning. Nothing complex, just very tasty. Can sip with cheese and crackers all night. I'll be ordering more.

Comments about J. Mauceri 2006 Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast:

I served this wine with appetizers of guacumole and a fig cream cheese dip and I felt it went well with the heat of the guaculmole and the sweetness of the figs. We also had it with our dinner of pulled BBQ pork and it even tasted better. Again spicy and sweet at the same time. My husband would like to get more.

Comments about J. Mauceri 2006 Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast:

Not much of a Pinot Noir drinker, usually a bit light for me. In the past, the PNs I liked were off the price chart. When this wine was offered I spent time researching winemaker Regalia. His background is impressive. I found this J.Mauceri to offer a full bold flavor while remaining true to the Pinot Noir grape. I'm not converted to PN but this wine nudged me a wee bit in that direction. The first toast was to love and the second toast was to Mr. Regalia. Thank you!

Its not Goldeneye but their winemaker did a nice job with this wine. Goldeneye seems a lot more dense, this is more finessed but has perfectly nice fruit. I also like Flowers and its pretty comparable in style to their sonoma coast pinot

Comments about J. Mauceri 2006 Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast:

This was a perfectly good Pinot, in the full-bodied style of Goldeneye, that I got at a very nice price when you consider what good Pinots from Sonoma Coast go for these days. Good fruit, good balance. I had it with lamb chops and it was just right.
