An unbelievable wine this rich succulent Amarone is one of the most forward and friendly we've ever tasted. It's a new age style of Amarone that's less alcoholic than the wines of the past and so it harmonizes much better with food. The vintage was exceptional as this wine clearly displays but we can't get over the incredible price of less than $30 a bottle. Try it with your favorite Italian dishes. Tasting Notes: Aro...

This is not as big as many of the Amarone's I have had but it drinks extremely well especially for wine under [$]. First taste was with cheese and crackers before dinner and it paired very well. Smooth and balanced without the strong alcohol Amarones sometimes have. This wine can stand up to hearty dishes but also can be enjoyed by itself. I'd definitely buy again.

Had this Amarone with pasta. Let it breath for about an hour before you taste it. Starts out almost sweet but quickly drops down into the berrys and chocolate that Amarone is famous for.

A bit pricy but probably worth it.

We have purchased a couple of cases of this amarone and are amazed at the value of this wine. It easily holds its own with bottles costing 3 times as much, making it the ideal wine for special occasions as well as a weeknight dinner at home. Try it - really!

Amarone Anyone?

Pairs Well With:
Beef, Firm sharp cheeses
Pros:
Big, Clean, Smooth
Best Uses:
After Dinner, Entertaining, Special Occasions
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

What a Great Wine! It needs a little patience though. Let it breathe either in the bottle or in a decanter for 45 minutes to 1 hour. After that you will be rewarded with scents of ripe berries & coffee beans. The palate is firm & balanced & brings on a lingering finish of raisins & chocolate. Beautiful by itself, borderline hedonistic with slices of thinly cut parmigiano reggiano.
