No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I joined the Connoiseur Club and this wine came in the November order. Reading the write up, I was impressed. I took it to a holiday party thinking it would be a hit, and was very disapointed in the taste. 1 out of 6 adults drinking red wine, liked it. I would not buy this wine again and I do not know why it was picked as a Connoisseur's Club wine.
