A great discovery from our last trip to the VinItaly wine expo. It turns out there are many 2003 Brunellos that are really outstanding. Because 2003 was a drought vintage the lack of rain meant that grapes stayed very small and very concentrated. A still have several bottles of the 1997 that I use to compare all reds to. This wine is not up to the normal standards but ahead of most reds
