We enjoyed the 2004 vintage of this same wine. The 2005 is as good if not better. It has a more balanced taste, less earthy and a bit more fruit.

Great for burgers, pizza, pasta. It's a little young now. Gave it an hour in the decanter and it was wonderful. At another party tried it right out of the bottle and it was harsh.

Outstanding wine - what a bang for it's buck!
While my preference is more of a full bodied Amorone, Barolo or a Chianti Reserva - this wine stacks up well. Obviously a little lighter - but a fantastic vino for cracking after work! Enjoy.

This is a pleasant wine - nothing over the top. Red jeweled tone. It needs to breathe to enhance its fruit features such as berry. No one feature predominates and I would say it is a nice bottle to serve with friends at a casual dinner of pasta or chicken or sipping on the deck with grilled lighter items. Would not stand up to a heavy red meat course.

This wine was an overall disappointment. The overwhelming tannins mask the underlying fruit. Even decanting and breath time did not help much. It may need much more time in the bottle to smooth out. It is not worth more than $10 a bottle and much better wines can be had for the cost of this one.
