Baron Edmund de Rothschild knows something about how to produce exceptional wine especially with Bordeaux grapes. The family tradition is of course Classified Bordeaux so Bordeaux staple Malbec in Argentina was an easy next step. Comments about Gran Malbec 2007 Flechas de los Andes, Baron Rothschild, Argentina:

Most of the wine I purchase is to serve with meals, and share with friends when appropriate, this wine did both very well. I like letting others do the work, so rarely buy anything that is not at least 90 rated....and we are rarely disappointed. An excellent wine at a great price point.

Comments about Gran Malbec 2007 Flechas de los Andes, Baron Rothschild, Argentina:

If you haven't tried Malbecs are are a little afraid to, this is the one to start off with. I used to think all Malbecs were a bit tannic until I tried this one. So Smooth! This was a big wine w/ lots of dark fruit on the nose. I recently came back from Argentina, and as one knows, you don't have to spend a lot to get a lot from an Argentine wine. For the money, this is a great value not to be missed!

Comments about Gran Malbec 2007 Flechas de los Andes, Baron Rothschild, Argentina:

This is a decent wine for a weeknight when I don't care if some of the bottle goes to waste, but fell short of my expectations. Flavor is good, not great. There was a slightly metallic edge to the taste
