The 2006 vintage of this ripe Mendoza Malbec was rated 91 pts. and selected as Wine Enthusiast Magazine's #1 Best Buy of the Year! The 2007 is just as if not more bold lush and intense than the 2006. Winemaker Paul Hobbs is the consulting enologist and this wine is a clear indication that he's steering this established Argentine property in the right direction. A tremendous value....

Comments about Malbec 2007 Pascual Toso, Maipu Vineyards:

I have become more and more interested in well crafted Malbecs. What appeals especially is what I find in the core of a nice Malbecs -- an almost licorice quality. This wine delivers that and a full flavor profile. Nice start, nice middle an a nice but short finish. Serious value here.

Simply the best Malbec we've had. Rich, creamy, with strong flavor and smooth finish. We've had French and other Argntine Malbec's, but this one tops the list. A 95.

Comments about Malbec 2007 Pascual Toso, Maipu Vineyards:

This Malbec is an awesome wine for the price point. You could easily think you were drinking a [$] bottle of wine. This is a great everyday drinking wine. Upon the first taste, it was somewhat tanin-foward, but after letting it breathe in my glass for about an hour the wine was perfect. I would suggest decanting, but I couldn't wait to taste the wine. If you enjoy a good Malbec, and a full bodied, dry wine, this is the choice for you. I would suggest ordering quickly. You will be disappointed if you miss this one. Case discount is excellent as well - so I guess you can tell how much I purchased after tasting the single bottle I originally ordered.
