Marchesi de Frescobaldi 2007 Brunello di Montalcino Castelgiocondo |
 |
The CastelGiocondo estate lies on the southwestern slope of Montalcino, at elevations ranging from 600 to 1,200 feet. Diverse soils and ideal exposure bring beautiful ripeness and development to the indigenous Sangiovese Grosso. This wine is always a classic and in the outstanding 2007 vintage it has truly excelled. It received 90+ scored across the board with a 95 from Wine Enthusiast Magazine who said "From Tuscany's celebrated Frescobaldi wine family, Brunello Castelgiocondo opens with dark, inky concentration and bold aromas of pressed rose, black cherry, exotic spice, leather and unsweetened chocolate. It is beautifully put together, with ample intensity, balance, complexity and silkiness on the finish." On Sale and Very Limited!
