Chateau Teyssier is the home estate of Jonathan Malthus. The chateau dates back to the 18th century but Malthus renewed it bringing in state-of-the-art winemaking equipment ans well as replanting vineyards. He produces his famous Le Dome here with grapes from his vineyard next to L'Angelus. This wine is all from grapes grown around the chateau. James Suckling scored it 90 points and Robert Parker scored it 89-91 points saying "From Jonathan Maltus's home property, the 2011 Teyssier (a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc) is a powerful, plush St.-Emilion displaying notes of ink, toasty oak, volcanic earth and hints of chocolate and coffee. Medium-bodied and deep with loads of color as well as fruit, it can be enjoyed over the next decade."
