Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2009 Couvent des Jacobins, Dom. Louis Jadot |
 |
Not you average Bourgogne Pinot Noir, this wine is produced entirely from Louis Jadot's estate vineyards. Grapes from the Cote de Nuits, Cote de Beaune and the Cote Chalonais are all selected and vinified separately. The wine is then aged in oak barrels 9-16 months depending upon the lot. 2009 is a monumental Burgundy vintage and one that's sending prices soaring. This estate bottled '09 is a super value from solid producer. It's a rich wine with supple fruit and a fine backbone for aging over the next 2-5 years. Don't miss it.
