Franciscan Estate 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley |
 |
Franciscan Estate was founded over thirty years ago by Augustin Heneeus. Located in the heart of Napa Valley the estate owns over 200 acres of vines right in the Oakville AVA. It’s no wonder their wines are consistently fine and often outstanding. This 2010 is a blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 6% Syrah and 1% Malbec slowly macerated over 22 days and aged 18 months in oak barrels. It shows deep garnet color. A rich bouquet of dark cherry, cocoa, clove, plum, tobacco and toasted oak, with delicate notes of coffee and truffle. Rich and full on the palate with a supple mouthfeel and opulent layers of plum, cherry, anise, and mocha. A classic Napa Cab.
