Spanish Sons 2008 Tempranillo, Castillo y Leon, Bodegas Farina |
 |
Dating back to 1942, Bodegas Fariņa is one of the oldest wineries in the region of Toro. Salvador Fariņa founded the winery in a tiny village on the banks of the River Duero. His son Manuel Fariņa has always been the fearless promoter of Toro and was the initial driving force behind modernization of the region's winemaking. This wine is a tribute to the sons of Salvador. Grapes from Fariņa´s original property in Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y Leon on the outskirts of the D.O Toro are machine harvested and crushed in the vineyard immediately with unique technology to conserve all the fruit flavors. Maceration for up to 7 days and fermentation in stainless steel. It's soft and easy to enjoy with bright vibrant fruit on the palate.
