Rioja Reserva 2006 Vina Bujanda |
 |
The Martinez-Bujanda family has been making Rioja wines for over a century. Vina Bujanda is produced by brother and sister Carlos and Pilar. They source grapes from 14 different plots in the Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa with vines aged 20-60 years. 100% Tempranillo, fermented in stainless steel and then aged in French and American oak for 20 months. The Wine Advocate scored it 92 points saying "The nose is well-defined, with notes of wild strawberry, leather, sage and tobacco that speaks clearly of its place. The palate is also well-defined, with fine tannins and harmony: an elegant, focused Reserva with a satisfying, silky smooth finish. Excellent. Drink now-2020." Limited!
