Massimo 2010 Malbec, Mendoza |
 |
Massimo Malbec has grabbed a lot of attention since its introduction. Wine Spectator liked it for being "Polished, with dark plum and blackberry fruit and a black licorice finish." It received a Very Strong Recommendation from the Ultimate Wine Challenge and the Quarterly Review of Wines said it was "One of the best value Malbecs available" calling it "The wine lives up to its name as big and succulent, with engaging notes of blueberry pie and rich plums that sit engagingly on the palate." Produced from select grapes in the high altitude Uco Valley of Mendoza. 95% Malbec and 5% Tempranillo. It's produced at the world famous O. Fournier winery with it's state-of-the-art gravity flow system. The wine receives just gentle oak aging to develop the flavors and bring out the dense, robust fruit. Need we say more? Grab it!
