Pinot-Chardonnay 2011 Domaine Prieure D'Amilhac, VDP
A refreshing, dry Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc blend. This wine comes from a single estate in the Languedoc with old vine plantings. Vinified in stainless steel to retain the rich fruit and minerality. Most important though is that this is a beautifully crisp expression of Chardonnay at a bargain price that would make many a Chablis jealous.

    Not expecting fabulous, had no info other than the short description here. I favor classic French chards, N.Zealand sauvignon blancs, good pinot grigios/pinot gris, so this sounded very appealing. Very pleased....Read complete review

    Not expecting fabulous, had no info other than the short description here. I favor classic French chards, N.Zealand sauvignon blancs, good pinot grigios/pinot gris, so this sounded very appealing. Very pleased. So pleased that we went through a case in just a week. I am ordering more. I drink whites year around, but this is particularly nice for what we call summer. If you have real summer weather, you'll appreciate it even more as a sipper as you lounge on your deck with a thriller. The price point is good for the product. Many shabby wines cost more than this.

    We were missing 2 bottles at the bottom layer of the shipment, but I expect that the company will remedy that.

    I was very disappointed in this wine. I received it in a monthly wine club shipment and threw it away. Very dry with little body. I must admit that I am not very familiar with this blend but will not try it again. Sad that this was my white for the month.
