Fiegl 2011 Pinot Grigio, Collio

Records show that the Fiegl family purchased their vineyard in Northern Italy near the Slovenian border in 1782. Two centuries later, three Fiegl brothers run the winery and produce small quantities of very high quality wines from the local varietals. This Collio Pinot Grigio is big-boned and intensely flavored with notes of peaches, apples and pears on a framework of flinty minerals. Dry and beautifully balanced, a past winner of the prestigious Tre Bicchieri award from the Gambero Rosso; Italy's wine bible. Don't miss this!
