Conundrum 2011 White Wine, California
Descriptions like ‘Wildly aromatic... an intense, delicious wine barely able to contain itself.’ San Francisco Chronicle, and ‘There is no wine in all of California comparable to Conundrum.’ Food & Wine and ‘Voluptuous, layered, remarkably complex, full-bodied, rich, spicy and with dazzling persistence of flavor.’ Whitley On Wine and ‘Rich and lush, full bodied yet silky on the palate.’ Wine Enthusiast Magazine have become the norm for Conundrum, a blend of five white grapes (Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Viognier and Muscat) that defies convention while stimulating both the palate and the imagination. From the owners of Caymus Vineyards and winemaker Jon Bolta, who created Conundrum as a non traditional white wine blend designed to pair with the creative dishes being offered by the new generation of chefs.

Comments about Conundrum 2011 White Wine, California:

I purchase wine primarily for dinner parties and then almost exclusively red, of which I have some understanding. I don't know white wines well, but purchase them for guests who prefer them. This wine was politely accepted, but few asked for a second glass.

Comments about Conundrum 2011 White Wine, California:

We bought a case of this wine to serve at our family Thanksgiving dinner. The wine made the turkey pale in comparision and the ladies of the family loved it! We left several bottle in the celler for future use and my sister in law took one bottle home along with her left over plate...

                    • Q:

I have a very sophisticated palate but am not very knowledgeable about wines. We go to many fine dining places and I believe I remember liking Conundrum white wine. I do not like crisp, white wines. I like full bodied white wines that tend to be buttery and that have a smooth finish. Would this meet my expectations/likes or is there another white wine you would suggest that fit the description of white wines I like?

                        A:

Conundrum is rich and full-bodied, not really buttery but more exotic with a slightly sweet finish. You might prefer Chardonnays like, Folie a Deux, Kendall-Jackson Grand Reserve or The Calling.
