Toscolo 2011 Chianti DOCG |
 |
Here's a very affordable and tasty Chianti from importer Neil Empson. Produced from mature vines fruit, the quality exceeds most of what you'll find labeled as Chianti DOCG and may rival many Chianti Classicos. James Suckling scored it 90 points saying "Amazing quality for a simple Chianti. Beautiful character of sliced ripe strawberries and lemons follow through to a full body, with bright acidity and a silky finish. Firm silky tannins come through. Give it a little more time to come together. Shows the excellent quality of the vintage." Priced for everyday so don't miss it.
