The perfect wine for every occasion, this dry but richly fruity Prosecco comes from the most prestigious producer of this beloved Italian Sparkler. Mionetto has made a name for Prosecco by turning out delicious expressive bottlings just like this one.
Ripe grapes from the hillsides of Valdobbiadene in Northern Italy are fermented into fresh white wine. Then a secondary fermentation is done in tank for a refreshing effervescence that brings it all to life. Apple, mineral and vanilla nuances tickle the palate and since its Brut style it finishes very dry and clean. This wine holds no pretensions of being a Champagne replica. It stands on its own as a delicious and tremendous value. Ultimate Wine Challenge said "Peaches and pears are mild on the nose. Tight bubbles are intense and piquant in the mouth, complementing the mineral forward flavors with bright lemon and lime zest and pear skin characteristics. Overall crisp and clean."
This excellent Prosecco was a great pairing for our 10th Annual Oyster Roast on Amelia Island FL. Chilled to perfection, the peach-apple-pear notes danced lightly off the nose and palette to round out the perfect party for 100 people and 1,000 oysters! A royal appellation that lives up to its bloodline. Bravo, Mionetto!
We just had guests over for a Holiday gathering, they found this to be a pleasant surprise and everyone enjoyed it so much that we ended up uncorking two of them. I much prefer this to the typical store bought champagne with it's somewhat overly sweet tartness. This is so much lighter and smoother, an excellent value for what I paid for it!
This is the second case I've purchased. A bottle in the first case was corked, but so far this case has been very nice and consistent with the first. Fun with friends and family. Great with food or just to drink.
This is the second case I've purchased. Did have a 'corked' bottle - unfortunately it was at a time to celebrate my son's wedding with family. Had to toss it. Would not have repurchased if others had been good. Overall nice balance and taste.
