This is a remarkable Pouilly Fuisse, produced from old vines grapes, has character and style that suggest a far loftier appellation than the famed Macon village of Pouilly Fuisse. It shows richness and complexity one would normally find in white wines from the Cote D’Or. The other incredible thing about this 100% Chardonnay wine is that it’s priced to be a bargain even if it were just an everyday Pouilly Fuisse.

        Pouilly Fuisse 2009 Reserve, Mathilde Lafleur is a good white that has some lasting power. There is a definite "bite" and I found it quite refreshing. I would recommend this with seafood or cheese, but not just for sipping.
