Chalk Hill Estate is famous for their incredible Chardonnay that people can't ever seem to get enough of. Well, new owners The Foley Family have heard the cry and are responding. With access now to a wide selection of top quality vineyards throughout the region they've sourced premium Chardonnay grapes, all within the Sonoma Coast AVA for Chalk Hill's first Sonoma Coast Chard. Just like the estate wine they use barrel fermentation to bring richness and texture. 77% barrel fermented in 40% new French oak barrels with regular lees stirring, the wine is aged a total of 7 months in barrel. The bouquet shows tropical notes of guava and pineapple along with nectarine, golden delicious apple and pears. The palate is rich and full with flavors of butterscotch, tropical fruit, pears and then citrus notes with balancing
acidity. The flavors linger on the finish. you'll surely be reminded of the Chalk Hill Estate when you taste it but you'll also be very pleasantly surprised by the price.
