George Wyndham became the father of Australian Shiraz after planting Australia’s first commercial Shiraz vineyard in 1830. Wyndham Estate BIN 555 is a multi-regional blend, with fruit sourced from Australia’s premium viticultural regions. Decanter magazine recently stated that 2010 might be the best vintage for Australian Shiraz in 20 years and this wine reflects the full, intense fruit style for which Wyndham Estate is famous. It shows aromas of plum, black pepper, dark chocolate and mocha along with subtle vanillin oak. On the palate there's ripe blackberry, plum and dark cherry and hints of spice. Fine grained, savory tannins compliment the fruit. Aged in French and American oak barrels this 2010 was created to be enjoyed young, but will also reward cellaring for 2-5 years. A super value.
