Louis Jadot is known throughout Burgundy as a producer of high quality wines. But here is an example of a value Bourgogne at a very friendly price. It has the typical light color and body of a Burgundian Pinot Noir, but the fruit is ripe and vibrant displaying aromas of cherry, strawberry and black raspberry. There are lovely nuances of smoked cedar and earth surrounding all the delicate fruit flavors. With its pleasant acidity and tannins it is drinking well now but will also age over the next 5 years or so.
