Trinity Oaks 2010 Pinot Noir, California |
 |
This wine has the word 'Trinity' in its name and in fact, there are three remarkable things about it. The first is that it tastes SO good. The second is that the fruit really does come from California and the third is the unbelievable price. We haven't tasted a value Pinot this good from California in long time. Because of limited availability, many California wineries were reduced to sourcing Pinot from Southern France, South America and Italy, but Trinity Oaks is all California. The Trinchero family, who makes it, have some of the most extensive vineyard holdings in California. They've brought top quality fruit from their Central Valley and the Central Coast vineyards, aged it in French and American oak and produced a delicious and very affordable Pinot, with ripe strawberry and black cherry nuances. Grab it.
Trinity Oaks is in a partnership with the non-profit organization Trees for the Future, helping to restore tree cover to tropical landscapes throughout Africa, Asia and Latin America. Trees planted in the tropics sequester more carbon dioxide each year than trees planted in drier climates. They're committed to planting a tree for every bottle of wine they sell and 4.4 million trees have been planted to date. Your purchase will aid in that effort.
