Peju 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley
Item Number: 13 20 384 11
Peju started back in 1982 with a 30 acre purchase by Tony Peju right in the heart of Napa's Rutherford district. With neighbors like BV, Robert Mondavi and Inglenook, grapes from these vineyrds sold well for many years until Peju decided to make his own wine. The rest is history as they say, as Peju has been turning out world class Napa Cabs for years now and this 2011 is a beauty. Blended with Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec, it aged for 18 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels. It scored 90 points from Wine Enthusiast Magazine and 93 from The Beverage Testing Institute who said "Deep garnet color. Mellow aromas of cassis pie a la mode, cedar, cocoa, and spice with a silky, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a tangy, berry, nutty oak and mineral driven finish. Textbook old school Napa cab that will be great at the table." Grab it while it's On SALE!!
