Bodegas Goulart 2010 Malbec, The Marshall, Mendoza
Item Number: 55 39 160 10
Bodega Goulart dates back to 1915, when Marshall Gastao Goulart purchased properties in Mendoza and planted them with Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon vines. Decades later, Gastao’s granddaughter Erika discovered the deed to the properties in Mendoza and made a drastic life change moving to Mendoza in 1988 to pursue the wine business. The Marshall is a special production wine that's a tribute to Marshall Goulart. The grapes are selected from the oldest vineyard rows in the Don Pedro vineyard in Lujan de Cuyo. 100% Malbec aged 18 months in French oak. Wine Spectator said "A dark, polished red, showing fine tannins to the rich cherry reduction, cassis, woodsy spice and smoke notes. A bit firm on the finish. Drink now."
