Chateau Mirefleurs 2012 Bordeaux Superieur
Item Number: 11 10 336 12
Located in the Yvrac District, between the Dordogne and the Garonne rivers, Chateau Mirefleur has some 100 acres of vines planted in the gravel, clay and sandy soils of this special wine-growing region. The vineyards are spread across south-facing hillsides that drink up the sunlight. This 2012 is a blend of 78% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc aged in 1/3 new French oak barrels for 123 months. Wine Enthusiast Magazine made it an Editors' Choice scoring it 90 points and saying "Ripe, full and smooth, this obviously wood-aged wine has also managed to retain its ripe fruit. Itís soft, full of acidity and black currants, with a good touch of spice to bring out the complexity of the wine. Drink from 2017." A value from Bordeaux that you won't want to miss!
