Tenute Silvio Nardi consists of 192 acres of vineyards at Casale del Bosco, in Montalcino. Since 1985 it has been run by his youngest daughter, Emilia.
Emilia Nardi knows she can depend on Casale's special and distinctive terroir to produce outstanding Brunello. The estate's vineyards are situated between 450 and 1,250 feet above sea level. Some estate vineyards extend to the south-east at Manachiara, where the precious cru of the same name originates. The wine undergoes extended maceration for at least 20 days. It is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and then 12 months in large Slavonian oak before bottling. 91 points from Wine Enthuisiast Magazine and James Suckling scored this wine 95 points saying "A very structured 2007 Brunello, with ripe and firm tannins and beautiful fresh fruit. Full body, chewy and intense, with a long finish. This is the best from here in years. Wonderful depth of fruit..." Limited!
