Barolo 2007 Marchesi di Barolo

Marchesi di Barolo is a historic producer in Piedmont, turning out everything from tangy Barberas to profound single-vineyard Barolos for over a century. Here is their 2006 Barolo showing the depth of character and intensity that a great vintage in the hands of an experienced producer can achieve. Only 750 cases of this 2007 were produced. The Wine Spectator scored it 93 points saying "This is harmonious and round, with cherry, floral, leather and tobacco flavors. Though supple, there's also a firm grip of tannins. Lingers on the finish, but will benefit from more time in the bottle. Best from 2015 through 2028."
