Fattoria La Lecciaia has established itself as one of the most consistent producers of Brunello. Each of the last several vintages have been outstanding and because of the remarkable value, quickly became far and away favorites with Wine Express customers. This latest release from the the excellent 2006 vintage is another winner. 90+ scores from Wine Advocate and Wine Enthusiast, and 92 points from the Wine Spectator who said "Lovely balance and harmony matches the cherry, leather, tobacco and spice aromas and flavors with the well-integrated structure in this red, which shows some power, but also elegance, with a lingering tobacco finish. Best from 2013 through 2024." Don't miss this one!

Comments about Brunello di Montalcino 2006 La Lecciaia:

What a lovely, elegant yet powerful wine from front to back. Dried cherries, anise, tobacco and spice are prominent on the nose and carry over to the palate. The mouthfeel is slightly racy, especially up front, but roundness and tannins kick in quick. The finish is really intriguing with tobacco and baker's chocolate left behind. Could use some time but a really solid Brunello all around.
