Blancaneaux as the white wine counterpart to flagship Rubicon Red Blend. First created in 1995, Production of Blancaneaux each year is extremely limited. The grapes are sourced from quantities from a six and a half acre plot on the shadiest part of estate, perfect for growing white grapes. The vines have matured to beyond 10 years of age now and are bringing rich palate density and flavor complexity to the wine. A blend of Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier, fermented in stainless steel and then aged 8 months on the lees. The wine is full-bodied yet elegant, with an alluring perfume of apricots, lemon zest, honeysuckle and violets. On the palate it's luscious with apricot, lemon, honey and ginger spice notes. Hints of minerality linger on the long creamy finish. Limited!
