Capezzana is a very famous estate in Tuscany owned by Count Contini Bonocossi. Located in the DOC Carmignano where Cabernet Sauvignon has been always been the dominant grape variety, this wine is their Super Tuscan Blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 30% Syrah. The wine is aged French oak barrels for 15 months.
With 90+ scores all around, Wine Spectator scored it 91 saying "Lush and appealing, with ripe cherry, raspberry and spice flavors draped over an open-knit structure. The tannins are still a bit rough on the finish, but enjoy this over the next few years. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot. Drink now through 2020." And James Suckling gave this 93 points saying "Fresh raisins, soy sauce, a layer of cinnamon and a hint of animal on the nose. Well-balanced and showing espresso, strawberry and dark-chocolate-mousse flavors. Polished tannins. Complex. Drink now, but better 2016" On Sale!!
