Ca' Momi is a small winery in the Carneros region of Napa Valley. Carneros is of course famous for growing Pinot Noir in vineyards cooled by the bay breezes. Ca' Momi owns two vineyards in Carneros including the 10.5 acre Kent Rasmussen vineyard. This organically farmed vineyard is a very unique as it is the spawning ground of the “Rasmussen Clone” of Pinot Noir and has provided bud wood to many vineyards throughout California. It also has vines planted in the early 1970’s that are believed to be to oldest continually producing Pinot Noir vines in Carneros. This wine has a grapes from their estate vineyards as well as from other local growers. The wine shows a myraid of berry and fruit flavors; strawberry, black cherry, cranberry and then warm spice notes that balance the fruit flavors beautifully. Supple and tangy this delightful Pinot really delivers.
