From Antinori comes this incredibly delicious perpetual Best Buy. The 2010 was named by Food & Wine Magazine one of the Top 10 Best Bargain Wines in the World! "An absurd value!" Neprica is a blend of 40% Negroamaro 30% Primitivo and 30% Cabernet from Antinoriís two estates in Puglia. Of course Negroamaro is the ubiquitous native variety found in virtually ever Puglia wine including the very popular Salice Salentino. Leave it to the masters at Antinori to blend in Cabernet to give it international class and style.
This wine represents a very good value for the money. I wish I could buy another case but no such luck. The taste is equal to a good Napa cabernet without the additional cost. Goes very well with pasta to grill steak. Hanging on to my last bottle as long as I can with hopes this will be offered again soon.
This is a great red blend for the price. It is bold enough for meats and strong cheeses, but I found it perfectly pleasing as an enjoyable after work glass on its own. The cab percentage is low enough not to overpower the blend, but gives it enough heart to make it a nice red to always have on hand. Buy it by the case!
This is such a value in my opinion. Very bold, plum with a hint of chocolate deep red. i would have this with anything like Pizza, cheeses, a Good piece of meat, yet it really stand up well just as a sipper for the enjoyment of the wine alone. Nice, I'm glad I bought an entire case!
I consume wine with dinner on a regular basis, so my purchases mostly reflect this. This wine goes well with just about anything and I don't feel guilty about how much the purchase price was. So for everyday consumption and simple gatherings it's a good addition, and who knows you may even get complements.
