Fox Run Vineyards is located on the western banks of Seneca Lake and in 2008 was the first New York State winery ever, to be named in Wine & Spirits Magazine's Top 100 Wineries in the World. Seneca boasts a large number of the region's wineries because of its large size (40 miles long) and depth (over 400 feet). And this massive body of water provides a unique tempering effect to the vineyards along its banks. This 2011 Reserve Chardonnay is rich and creamy on the palate but balanced with bright acidity. Aged 10 months in French oak barrels.
