A blend of Corvina 60%, Corvinone 10%, Rondinella 25%, other varieties of the territory 5% dried carefully on straw over three to four months allowing the grapes to lose 30% of their water weight. Fermented over 30 days at controlled temperature and then 80% aged in 80% French and American oak barrels over 36 months. Decanter Magazine gave it a Bronze Medal and said "Intense nose of black fruits, plum, toast and mocha notes. Full bodied with round silky tannins and impressive complexity. Lifted acidity at the end." and Wine Enthusiast Magazine scored it 90 points saying "Aromas of toast, prune, dried earth, leather and a balsamic note emerge on this full-bodied wine. The structured palate delivers dried black cherry, mocha, tobacco and a touch of baking spice accompanied by a network of tightly woven tannins."
