Most of the Cabernet was harvested by mid-October with only a few parcels at the highest elevations holding out until early November. Perfect weather conditions allowed the luxury of "calling the picks" at optimal timing with no weather-driven compromises or concerns. 89 % Cabernet Sauvignon, h additions of Syrah, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec and Sangiovese (.6% ). The wine aged 17 months in 35% new French Oak. The wine shows luscious berry fruit, multi-layered tannins, refined herbal notes and silky texture. Napa Valley is famous for long-lived reds and this is a prime example as it shows the deep core of complex fruit, black cherry, cassis and black plums along with a sleek but firm backbone with lush texture and inviting hints of toasted coconut and vanilla.
