In his Wine Buyer's Guide, Robert Parker selects Alta Vista as one of the Top 5 Argentine producers. This Malbec exemplifies their attention to quality and expression at a very affordable price. The winery is in the heart of Chacras de Coria south of Mendoza city and the vineyards are high up in the Andes foothills at over 3,200 feet above sea level. After fermentation, the wine undergoes 10 days of extended maceration to enhance volume and quality of the tannins. The wine is then aged in American oak for 6 months. Shows notes of ripe red and black fruits with supple tannins and a lingering finish.
