Alsace Zind Humbrecht is a legendary Domaine in the Alsace region of France, led by innovative winemaker and Master of Wine, Olivier Humbrecht. They produce outstanding bottlings of the most iconic Alsace grapes including many Grand Cru. But even their everyday offerings like this Pinot Blanc they raise to another level of sophistication and quality. The Wine Advocate said about this 2013 "The 2013 Pinot Blanc is as assemblage of 70% Auxerrois and 30% Pinot Blanc, grown in the Rotenberg and in the Herrenweg, and averaging 38-year-old vines. The yields were quite low (41 hl/ha) and so the wine offers intense white fruit aromas on the nose that lead to a medium-bodied, elegant, well balanced, and fruity wine with a stimulating acidity and aromatic aftertaste."
