Noble Vines 2014 Sauvignon Blanc, 242, San Bernabe, Monterey
Featured in Wine Enthusiast Magazine's piece, Six Tax Day Wines, as a "fantastic wine" for "those needing to save" because it's such a great value. Noble Vines is the Delicato family’s tribute to select varietals they have planted and in their estate San Bernabe vineyard in Monterey. The 242 refers to the specific block in the San Bernabe where this Sauvignon Blanc is grown. This particular spot seems to be ideal for Sauvignon Blanc to reach the perfect balance between notes of hers, kiwi, melon and citrus. Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel with select yeasts. A "Best Buy" and a 90 point score from Wine Enthusiast Magazine who said "There’s nice restraint on the nose of this judiciously priced bottling, with lemon-lime citrus and green apple flesh. The wine is strongly textural once sipped, with sour apple, lime peel and riper stone fruit in the background, finishing grippy and clean."
