Lucinda & Millie wines are made from 100% organically grown grapes certified by the California Certified Organic Farmers. Some of the vineyards have been certified for over 20 years. Greg La Follette crafts this award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon with 100% organic grapes from the traditionally farmed vineyard just below Duncan Peak on the edge of the Sanel Valley in Mendocino. This vineyard’s sand and mud deposits, due to its proximity to the Russian River, create perfect soils for growing bright Cabernet. Fermentation takes place in a combination of closed and open top tanks with a traditional French pigiage. Primarily free run with an early press cut. The wine is then aged in a combination of French oak and stainless steel with 100% malolatic fermentation. Aromas of red berries reveal flavors of juicy black current and savory spices. The palate is bright and forward with great acidity and firm, balanced tannins. Echoes of cassis and bayberry mingle with cranberry and quince on the finish. This Cabernet is an elegant wine to pair with your favorite dishes.
