Here's a lush, flavorful Chardonnay from Greg Norman Estates. Huge wine enthusiast that he is, Norman decided to make wines from both his home, Australia, and California, where he fell in love with the ripe, forward style of the Chards, Cabs and Zins. This 2014 from Santa Barbara shows that impeccable balance of bright fruit, tangy acidity and rich mouthfeel that is so appealing in those wines. A majority of the grapes for this wine were sourced from an area called Cat Canyon which has high elevation and a wide temperature range from day to night, bringing grapes with good development and complexity. Cool temperature fermentation and just a touch of oak aging have brought out the best in this Central Coast Chard.
