Brewer-Clifton is a small winery in Santa Barbara whose wines have received immense praise and recognition. Their Pinot Noirs are sourced from vineyards in the elite Sta. Rita Hills AVA including this wine from their own Machado Vineyard. Their winemaking approach to minimize the winemakerís signature, allowing the voice of the vineyard to be the overriding expression. Utilizing a protocol of minimal intervention and whole cluster fermentation, stems play a vital role in both our farming and fermentation processes, ultimately adding structure and agability to the wine. The fruit from each vineyard is handled identically from harvest to bottling, allowing the true essence of the site to best be expressed. Wine Spectator has selected Brewer- Clifton Pinot Noirs for their Top 100 list and even as a Top 10. They gave this wine 94 points and said "Rich and ripe, this combines firm, dense red and dark berry fruit with pretty floral and spicy notes that gain depth, hold focus and offer persistence on the finish. Drink now through 2024." and Wine Enthusiast Magazine scored it 95 points saying "Incredibly delicious aromas of blackberry syrup, strawberries, cherry pie and cinnamon sticks make for a very juicy introduction to this single-vineyard bottling by Greg Brewer and Steve Clifton. The veil of ripeness carries to the palate, but it proves more serious and restrained, with graphite minerality, bergamot and sage elements. It's complex and yet easily enjoyable." Very Limited!
