Through our relationships with family wineries that span the globe, The Seeker brings top-quality wines, discovered in the regions that grow them best, crafted by quality-driven, hands-on winemakers. Grapes for this Pinot Noir came from vines that are 15 to 40 years old that benefit from rich volcanic soils and a vineyard site 1,150 to 1,640 feet in elevation near the 45th parallel. Master Blender Jean-Pierre Rodet rejected hundreds of lots to find the perfect grapes to craft this luscious Pinot Noir. Grapes are destemmed before undergoing a cold maceration for 5-7 days to extract delicate fruitnotes, very unusual for a Vin de Pays. Fermentation occurs in open-top barrels for a long 15-20 days. This wine's bright, fruity character is preserved by the absence of oak. Full of red fruit and spice, this wine showcases Pinot Noir's signature silky texture and food-friendliness. Sweet cherry fruit melds with earth and spice, balanced acidity and ripe, fine tannin, giving a long, smooth finish.
