Noble Vines 2015 Sauvignon Blanc, 242, San Bernabe, Monterey
Featured in Wine Enthusiast Magazine's piece, Six Tax Day Wines, as a "fantastic wine" for "those needing to save" because it's such a great value. Noble Vines is the Delicato family's tribute to select varietals they have planted and in their estate San Bernabe vineyard in Monterey. The 242 refers to the specific block in the San Bernabe where this Sauvignon Blanc is grown. This particular spot seems to be ideal for Sauvignon Blanc to reach the perfect balance between notes of hers, kiwi, melon and citrus. Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel with select yeasts. A "Best Buy" from Wine Enthusiast Magazine who said "Noble Vines is one of the more reliable brands available on grocery store shelves, and this bottling is no different. Light in the glass, the aromas are mineral-focused, recalling wet concrete and slate, rounded out by red-apple and nectarine scents. There is good energy to the palate, which suggests lime pith, green pear and green apple flavors."
