Tapestry Reserve was created so that Beaulieu Vineyards, with their prime Napa Estate vineyard land could produce a world class Cabernet-based Bordeaux blend. The winemaking team now consists of Jeffrey Stambor with Consulting Enologist Michel Rolland and they have been making amazing strides. Grapes are sourced from throughout the valley, primarily Rutherford and the balance from the Stags Leap District, St. Helena and Calistoga AVAs. This 2013 is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, 5% Malbec and 3% Cabernet Franc aged 22 months in a mix of American and European oak barrels, 50% new. This is just release and has no ratings yet but as always it's another winner!!
BV Tap has really earned its Reserve label with this vintage. Great fruit concentration and density but has the balance and structure of a wine that will age for several years. Really top quality Napa juice
