BV Tapestry Reserve 2013 Napa Valley
Tapestry Reserve was created so that Beaulieu Vineyards, with their prime Napa Estate vineyard land could produce a world class Cabernet-based Bordeaux blend. The winemaking team now consists of Jeffrey Stambor with Consulting Enologist Michel Rolland and they have been making amazing strides. Grapes are sourced from throughout the valley, primarily Rutherford and the balance from the Stags Leap District, St. Helena and Calistoga AVAs. This 2013 is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, 5% Malbec and 3% Cabernet Franc aged 22 months in a mix of American and European oak barrels, 50% new. This vintage comes with numerous rave reviews including 94 points from James suckling saying "Complex aromas of blackcurrants, tobacco and stones. Some oyster shell. Medium to full body, very fine tannins and a polished, refined, textured finish. A wine that hearkens back to its traditions. Drink now."

The Best BV Tap To Date!!
BV Tap has really earned its Reserve label with this vintage. Great fruit concentration and density but has the balance and structure of a wine that will age for several years. Really top quality Napa juice

Now its a four
With a few years will be a 5 in the wine cell. I would say a fine year. A buy year after year, I'm a fan.

what is AVA?
A shopper on Sep 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: AVA= American Viticultural Area
An AVA is defined as "a delimited grape growing region, distinguished by geographical features, the boundaries of which have been recognized and defined"

Napa Valley was named an American Viticultural Area in 1983, making it the first AVA in California. Sonoma Valley, Carneros, Finger Lakes, Willamette Valley, and Columbia Valley are all AVA's. There are now more than 140 AVA's in the United States.
