Marziano and Enrico built up the modest family winery over the last three decades inagurating their state-of-the-art winery in 2006. Over those years they made strategic purchases of Barolo Cru vineyard land, like the parcel in this vineyard, Pressenda. Pressenda is a spectacular vineyard overlooking the Castle of Serralunga d’Alba, located in the cru Castelletto of Monforte d’Alba. Here the vines average 42 years of age and produce low yields of very intensely flavored and beautifully balanced grapes. The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts and then aged in traditional large oak casks. James Suckling scored this 96 points saying "A wine with beautiful depth of fruit and richness with floral and berry character. Such purity. Full body, with fabulous concentration and balance. It lasts for minutes. One of the big surprises of the vintage. Better in 2018."
