Hall's estate vineyards encompass more than 500 acres of classic Bordeaux varietals; Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc. As winegrowers, the Halls have a strong respect for the environment and a commitment to cutting-edge vineyard technology to yield the highest quality grapes. Through meticulous attention to detail in the vineyards, Hall wines are able to express the unique and diverse character of Napa Valley's soils and climate. Under the artisan-ship of winemaker Steve Leveque, Hall Wines continue to set new heights in Napa Valley winemaking. This wine incorporates choice fruit from vineyards throughout Napa Valley, from Kathryn Hall's organic estate vineyards to small rugged hillside sites of partner growers. By blending these various lots, they've create a rich panorama on the palate, a landscape of complexity and character that clearly depicts Napa Valley. This 2013 is a blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot, 6% Merlot and 3% Syrah aged 22 months in 50% new French oak barrels. Robert Parker scored this 92+ saying "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa, which is 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot, 6% Merlot and 3% Syrah, shows a dense ruby/purple color, super concentration, chocolate, a touch of oak and a medium to full-bodied impressively concentrated style. It's approachable now, but perhaps will be better in 4-5 years and last 20."
